“When you acknowledge, as you must, that there is no such thing as perfect food, only the idea of it…then the real purpose of striving toward perfection becomes clear: to make people happy. That is what cooking is all about.” — Thomas Keller
Hi and welcome! I’m happy you found my site. I’m Rebekah, a food writer, recipe developer, and on-air lifestyle host happily living in New York City. I’m a frequent contributor to Food & Wine, Shape Magazine, MarthaStewart.com, Food Network, Spoon University, Today.com, Apartment Therapy, The Kitchn, New York Magazine, and more, and I appear regularly on Good Day Philadelphia, ABC7 Washington, D.C., and Fox 45 Baltimore. I share recipes over on my YouTube channel, and I’ve hosted several digital video series for NBC’s Today Show including “Test Drive” and “2 Things TODAY” as well as segments for Food Network on Snapchat Discover. I’m also the co-founder of the Wildflower Collective, a networking forum and supper club for creative women in New York City.
When I’m not making a mess of my kitchen, I love listening to music, exploring new cities, hosting dinner parties with friends, biking, yoga-ing, making unnecessarily long to-do lists, and continuing my quest for the perfect unlined notebook. I’m an old soul, an avid traveler, a voracious reader, a musical theatre geek, a poetry lover, an aspiring gardener, and a proud Columbia alumna. I love photography, and I hope that my photos inspire you to step into your own kitchen and whip up something beautiful. I value hard work, I’m passionate about helping and mentoring other women, and I believe, most of all, in unconditional kindness. Born and raised in Connecticut, I’m still a New England girl at heart, and love being by the water more than just about anything else.
