“I think careful cooking is love, don’t you? The loveliest thing you can cook for someone who’s close to you is about as nice a valentine as you can give.”
— Julia Child
Hi and welcome! I’m happy you found my site. I’m Rebekah, a food and entertaining writer, event stylist, and on-air lifestyle host happily living in New York City. I’m a frequent contributor to Food & Wine, Shape Magazine, MarthaStewart.com, Food Network, Spoon University, Today.com, Apartment Therapy, and more, and I appear regularly as a guest on Fox 45 Baltimore and Good Day Philadelphia. I share weekly recipes over on my YouTube channel, and I’ve hosted several digital video series for NBC’s Today Show including “Test Drive” and “2 Things TODAY” as well as segments on Food Network’s Snapchat Discover. I’m also the author of Dinner Party Diaries, a blog I founded in 2016 to share entertaining ideas and recipes, and I’m the co-founder of the Wildflower Collective, a networking forum and supper club for creative women in New York City.
When I’m not making a mess of my kitchen, I love listening to music, exploring new neighborhoods, hosting dinner parties with friends, making unnecessarily long to-do lists, and continuing my quest for the perfect unlined notebook. I’m an old soul, an avid traveler, a voracious reader, a terrible driver, a musical theatre geek, a poetry lover, an aspiring gardener, and a proud Columbia alum. I love photography, and I hope that my photos inspire you to step into your own kitchen and whip up something beautiful. I value hard work, I’m passionate about helping and mentoring other women, and I believe, most of all, in unconditional kindness. Born and raised in Connecticut, I’m still a New England girl at heart, and love being by the water more than just about anything else.
