So excited to (belatedly) share this year’s Rosh Hashanah table! I hope a few of these ideas inspire your own holiday table this year.
The Table
I typically gravitate toward softer colors, but for this table I wanted deep oranges, brass, flickering candlelight, and lots of natural texture. The whole thing actually started with a $12 orange scarf I found and decided to use as a table runner. Everything else—the flowers, candles, and serving pieces—grew out of that one color palette. Most of what you see here is something I already owned (or borrowed from my parents!), which is my favorite way to decorate. I love the challenge of making old things feel new again.
The Flowers
I wanted the flowers to feel loose and a little wild rather than overly arranged. I mixed a few inexpensive grocery store bouquets with several stems from a local florist, which is one of my favorite ways to achieve a fuller, more interesting arrangement without breaking your budget. (I also brought the scarf/table runner to the flower shop with me to check colors! Another good trick.)
The Place Settings
The reflection worksheets were my favorite part of the whole table. I wanted to include something that would encourage conversation and a little introspection. They’re fun and different, I think. Scroll for all the photos and shana tova!

Have I mentioned I really wish I had ironed that tablecloth?
Really wish I’d done that.
Oh well.
