I’m pretty sure I just discovered the quickest way to get really excited about Passover: sit down, pull out your computer, and piece together a Passover recipes blog post. Really. I’m very, very eager for the holiday to arrive now. And irrationally hungry for kugel. (Okay, truth be told, Passover’s always been my favorite holiday, so it’s not like I needed another reason to look forward to April. But still.)
Ahead, I’m sharing the results of said hunger-inducing journey: a list of the best kosher for Passover recipes and traditional Passover foods to serve at your Seder table this year. I recently posted this list of the best Passover desserts, and had so much fun curating all of the different options and recipes and photos that I decided to have at it again, entrée-style. If you’re busily dreaming up your Passover menu, you’re in the right place: I’ve got main course Passover recipes, side dish Passover recipes, springy Passover appetizers, and more. I’ve also included some out-of-the-box Passover recipes that you may not have previously considered as contenders for your Seder table spread, including a Mexican gefilte fish and matzo-fried chicken (both courtesy of my friends over at the Jewish Food Society—go check them out!). What’s more, many (but not all) of these Passover recipes were originally developed with the intention of being served during the holiday, so they feature kosher for Passover ingredients. Still, you’ll want to make sure you’re verifying each ingredient on your own.
P.S. If you’re looking for more Passover inspiration, I’ve got you covered: Find lists of Passover quotes, Passover gifts, and so many other ideas right over here. As always, there’s even more on Instagram—so be sure to follow along there, too, and say hi!
