But…are Rosh Hashanah cocktails even a thing, you ask?
First of all, what the heck kind of question is that. What kind of ATTITUDE is that. Second of all…no. Fine. Technically, they’re not a thing. I mean, there’s no “Rosh Hashanah cocktail” section of the Talmud, if that’s what you’re getting at.
But perhaps there should be.
Admittedly, I’m not much of a drinker (as in, I don’t drink). But I’m still a total sucker for a good-looking, good-tasting mocktail—there’s just something so thoughtful about crafting a beautiful beverage, and in this particular case, it’s a nice opportunity to extend the themes/meaning imbued in the rest of the holiday.
