It’s here! And you’re here! Hi and welcome to The Sunday Studio, a virtual workshop series partnering creativity with a seriously wonderful cause. My hope is that the meaningful, high-quality classes and conversations you’ll find here will keep you learning, dreaming, and creating all summer long—and that they’ll make a real difference in the lives of people around the world, too.
Here’s how it works: Over here, you’ll find the full schedule of workshops. Whether you want to paint with watercolors, learn calligraphy, bake a beautiful challah, cook Israeli food, dance, sing, or knit your first sweater…well, you name it, you’re bound to find it there. I’ve enlisted a dozen of my most talented, brilliantly creative friends from around the world to make this entire experience as smart, interesting, and educational as possible, and honestly, they’ve gone above and beyond. You’re in for a TREAT.
It’s just $5 to join any of the classes, and I’m donating 100% of the program’s funds to HIAS, an incredible organization that’s near and dear to my heart (more on that here). HIAS works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands simply because of who they are. As countries seal borders and travel restrictions grow, the nonprofit continues to find ways to reach displaced populations. I’m a big fan of HIAS’ 130-year-old mission, and I really hope it speaks to you too.
Once you’ve successfully signed up for a class, you’ll receive more information in your inbox within minutes. Then, an hour before that class is scheduled to begin, you’ll receive a second email containing a secure access link that can be streamed to your laptop, smartphone, or television via Airplay or Chromecast. Please note that the classes are streamed webinar-style, meaning you’ll be able to see the instructor, but she won’t be able to see you. (All the better to dance/paint/sing like no one’s watching!)
But more on those little details in the FAQ below.
Phew. I think that’s all! I’m so excited for you guys to check out all the offerings. Get to it and have so much fun.
